National MI
A mortgage-insurance carrier, sixth in the committed mortgage-insurance ordering.
National MI is one of the licensed carriers reached through Insurance. A caller sends the loan and the borrower; the product works down the carrier ordering and returns every carrier willing to insure the loan together with the terms each offered.
Eligibility and price are separate questions here. A carrier can qualify a loan and be uncompetitive on premium, so the response carries the full eligible set rather than a single selection, and the choice is left to the caller.
