Finicity

An account-data vendor covering asset, employment and income verification from bank and payroll connections.

Finicity connects to a borrower's own accounts with the borrower's consent and returns transaction and payroll history. One connection answers three questions that are separate products — what the borrower holds, who pays them, and how much — so the vendor appears in three orderings rather than one.

It sits second in the committed asset ordering and mid-table in employment and income. Each vertical is its own integration with its own connection and language configuration; they share the vendor and nothing else.

How this integration is built

connection configuration
The wire protocol. One repository per vendor API call, not per vendor.
language configuration
The field mapping between the vendor's vocabulary and the canonical model.
flow file
The four-way translation: canonical request, vendor request, vendor response, canonical response.
waterfall priority
One line naming where this vendor sits in the vertical's ordering.
status call
Activating the vendor for a lender, optionally with the lender's own credentials.
